Description
The Burroughs Monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard, about 5 metres south-east of the chancel of the Church of St Mary. It dates from the 18th century and is made of Ham stone. The tomb features a moulded base and has one fielded panel on each face, flanked by fluted pilasters. The shallow hipped top is covered with a moulded design and has rounded leading edges. This monument commemorates Thomas Burroughs, who died in the 17th century.
