Description

This is a 17th-century chest tomb located about 3 meters south of the chancel of the Church of St. Michael in Enmore. It is made of dressed stone and has an oblong shape. The plinth appears to be buried, and the corners are bead-moulded. Each face of the tomb features a slightly inset panel with a bead-moulded surround, although the inscriptions on these panels are now largely obscured by lichen. The top slab of the tomb is cavetto-moulded around the lower edge.
