Description
Burtle Farmhouse is an early 19th-century farmhouse located on Robins Lane in Edington Burtle. The building is rendered and scribed to resemble ashlar, featuring prominent end pilasters, a first-floor band, and slate roofs with brick and ashlar stacks. It has a two-storey, three-bay symmetrical frontage with 20-pane sash windows. The central door opening contains a six-panelled door, with the top two panels being glazed. There is a colourwashed porch with a cornice and blocking course.
To the right, there is a lower height, three-bay wing that is also two storeys tall, featuring a 15-pane sash window and a hay-loft door on the first floor. This wing has two door openings: to the left, there is a chamfered freestone surround with a four-centred head and a plank door; to the right, there is a broad carriage opening with a dressed stone surround and a segmental head, featuring paired plank doors with iron strap hinges.
