Description

The coach house, located to the east of Shovel House, dates from the early 19th century. It is constructed of rubble with brick dressings and features a hipped tile roof topped with a central pedimented gable in a Gothick style. The building is two storeys high and has three bays. The ground floor includes semi-circular head windows, while the upper floor has two Diocletian windows flanking an oval window. There is a central segmental-headed carriageway, above which is a re-used datastone inscribed with "1643," along with further re-used medieval corbels and a heraldic lion set into the wall.
