Description

Dower House is an early 19th-century house in North Petherton. It is constructed of coursed rubble, with a hipped slate roof and brick stacks. The house is in a Gothick style. It has two storeys and a 1:1 bay arrangement, with the bay to the left projecting slightly. Windows are 2-light casements with glazing bars and marginal lights. A 6-panelled, glazed door is located in an opening to the right side of the projecting bay. A glazed porch extends to the right of the frontage and right return, featuring a roof that continues as a verandah supported by trelliswork. The porch roof is covered with Bridgwater patent tiles.
