Description

The John Collett Chest Tomb, located in the churchyard 2 metres north of the nave of the Church of St. Lawrence, is a chest tomb from the late 18th century made of Doulting stone. It features a rectangular moulded plinth with carved quarter-balusters at each corner. The ends and sides are panelled and adorned with moulded elliptical panels, a frieze, and a heavy moulded cushion top. The tomb is dedicated to John Collett, although the date is illegible.
