Description
No. 1 West Terrace is an end of row house dating from the mid-17th century. It is constructed of coursed, roughly squared Doulting stone, which was once lime-washed, and features ashlar quoining on the left side. The house has a slate roof with a coped gable and a central brick chimney stack positioned to the left.
The building is two storeys high and has a two-window front with the entrance located on the right side. The windows are 16-pane sash types with delicate glazing bars, set within stone frames. The entrance consists of a six-panel door, also set in a stone frame, featuring a square head and an edge-moulded flat slab hood supported by ogee stone brackets.
