Description

A row of three cottages located in Abbey Street, Crewkerne, dating to the early or mid-19th century. The cottages are constructed of limestone rubble with a Ham Hill stone plinth. They feature a continuous slate roof and brick stacks positioned on the party wall between numbers 6 and 8, and at the left gable end. The design follows a double-depth plan. The cottages are two storeys high, with a predominantly single-window front, although number 6 is symmetrical with three windows. The windows have flat, gauged arches and contain three-light casements with two panes to each window leaf; number 10, on the left, has 20th-century frames with single panes per leaf. Number 6 has steps leading to a four-panel door, while numbers 8 and 10 have planked doors. The interiors have not been inspected. The cottages are included on the list for their group value.
