Description
The east boundary wall and gateway, located about 45 metres east of the Old Vicarage, is a boundary structure likely from the 19th century. It is constructed from local lias stone that is nearly ashlar, with Ham stone dressing and wrought iron gates. The wall stands approximately 3 metres high and features thin, shaped Ham stone copings. The gate piers are made of rusticated Ham ashlar, with a chamfered plinth and simple stone caps topped with step finials. The gates have swept curved top rails and braces, with spearpoints on the rails at two levels, and include circular motifs on the middle rail. This structure holds significant value in relation to the Old Vicarage and enhances the streetscape.
