Description

No 4 is a weaver's cottage dating from around 1650. It is constructed of random limestone rubble and has a pantiled roof, with a chimneystack located on the right side. This cottage is part of a row of three weaver's cottages. The building is two stories high and has one bay. It features ovolo moulded mullioned windows with three lights on both the ground and first floors, each topped with a carved drip mould. The gable walls are coped and supported by kneelers, with a base for a finial at the apex on the left-hand return front. The building underwent extensive renovations in 1982.
