Description
This is a boundary or direction stone located 6 metres north of No. 15 (Batcombe House) on Head Street. The date of the stone is uncertain. It is made of Ham stone, approximately 250 millimetres thick and 500 millimetres wide, standing about 1.3 metres high with a rounded top. There are no visible inscriptions, but there are vague indications of former lettering. It is possibly a direction stone situated at a significant road junction in the village on this unturnpiked road.
