Description

This is a milestone located in Upton Village, dating from the early 19th century. It is made of cast iron and sandstone, standing approximately 800 millimeters high. The dressed stone features a cambered head, and there is an attached plaque with a semi-circular top that is inscribed in incised lettering stating "12 Miles to Watchet."
