Description

This is a milestone dating from the early 19th century, made of sandstone and cast iron. It stands approximately 700 millimeters high and features dressed stone with an eroded bench mark. The head of the milestone is slightly cambered, and it has an attached plaque with a semi-circular central section. The plaque is inscribed in incised lettering that reads: "10 Miles to Watchet."
