Description

This is a chimney from the mid-19th century, located at Smitham Hill in Priddy. It has a circular shape and features a tall, tapering stack made of rubble, with the upper portion constructed from two types of red brick and an overhanging course. At ground level, there is a narrow semi-circular head barred opening. This chimney is part of a former lead mine and has been recently restored by the Mendip Society.
