Description
The Lambert monument is a pedestal tomb located in the churchyard, 2 metres south of the south transept of the Church of St. Aldhelm. It dates from the late 18th century and is made of dressed freestone with lias inscription panels. The monument features a square pedestal on a plinth, adorned with Gothick pilasters and recessed inscription panels. It has a moulded oversailing cornice and is topped with a large classical urn on a stepped plinth. The inscriptions commemorate members of the Lambert family.
