Description
Charity Farmhouse is a detached farmhouse with attached outbuildings, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed from local lias stone that is cut and squared, with Ham stone dressings, and features clay pantiles that are bitumenised, set between stepped coped gables. The building has two storeys with attics and consists of three bays. The sash windows have 16 panes and are set in plain openings with Ham stone lintels that include false keystones. The central entrance features a six-panel door with glazed toplights, located within a timber lattice porch topped with lead-covered bell-hip roofs. The interior has not been seen. The attached farm buildings match the farmhouse and are located at the east gable and extending northwards along the street; the latter is a single-storey structure with an elliptical arched doorway near the north end.
