Description

This cottage, dating from the 17th century, is located 20 metres northwest of the Church of St. Mary in Laverton. It is constructed of random rubble and features a double Roman tile roof with a central rubble stack that has a dripmould. The building stands two storeys high and consists of two bays, each with a two-light chamfered stone-mullioned window beneath stopped labels. To the left, there is a door opening that leads to a late 19th-century gabled first-floor outshut, which is supported by three cast iron columns and features a 19th-century two-panelled door. Adjacent to this is a blocked four-centred arch door opening. On the right side, there is a single-storey pent-roofed outshut with another two-light chamfered stone-mullioned window under a stopped label.
