Description

The Rectory is a detached house dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of rubble Doulting stone and features a stone tile roof with ashlar stone chimney stacks, which are extended in brick to plain gables on the rear slope, where concrete tiles are used, and slate is applied to the rear wing. The building has a two-storey "L" plan with a three-window front. The windows have stone beadmoulded surrounds that are set flush with the wall and consist of 16-pane sash windows.

On the ground floor, the central window has been replaced with French doors. To the right, there is an entrance door with four panels, two of which are glazed. The main entrance is positioned at an angle and features a vertical boarded door set in a pointed arch stone door frame, with a projecting porch beneath a concrete tile gable roof. The rear wing generally retains sash windows, along with one two-light stone mullion window.

The property is enclosed by a boundary wall made of rubble Doulting stone, which stands about 1.2 meters high and has hit and miss stone coping along the edge. The gate piers are also made of rubble stone with flat top coping, supporting a stone pedestal. A wrought iron gate with an urn motif completes the entrance.
