Description

The Barrett Chest Tomb, located in the churchyard 10 metres south of the chancel of the Church of Saint Michael, is a chest tomb dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed from Ham stone and features a plinth that is partially buried. Each side has one fielded panel, while each flank has two fielded panels with reverse curved corners. The tomb is topped with a thin moulded hipped top. It commemorates Mary, the wife of John Barrett Senior, who died in 1789.
