Description
Balster's Farm House is a farmhouse that possibly dates from the late 17th century and has undergone some modifications. It is constructed of local stone rubble, partly cut and squared, with Ham stone dressings. The roof is made of Welsh slate and features coped gables, along with a modern brick stack on the north gable. The building has a through passage plan and is two stories tall with four bays.
On the ground floor, there are hollow chamfered mullioned windows with labels in bays one, two, and four, and a flat-headed doorway in bay three. Above these, there are three-light casement windows that include single horizontal glazing bars. The north gable shows a bulge that may indicate the position of a former oven, and there is a massive single-stone gatepost located at the northeast corner.
