Description

This is an early 17th-century farmhouse, with alterations made in the late 19th century. The exterior is roughcast, with coped verges; the verge on the left has a ball final, and the roof is covered in double Roman tiles. There are two brick stacks. The house is arranged around a cross passage. It is two storeys high and has four bays, with two-light casement windows featuring marginal glazing bars, except for the window on the left of the first floor, which has no glazing bars. A door opening in the third bay contains a 19th-century three-panelled door with a transom light. A further plank door is located on a lower level to the left. The right-hand ground floor room contains a fireplace with a moulded wooden four-centred lintol above it; the ceiling beams are exposed, chamfered, and stop-chamfered with run-out stops.
