Description

This is a chimney dating from the early 19th century, standing 15 metres high. It has a tapering square shape and is constructed from Doulting rubble, featuring squared quoins. At the top, there are courses of red engineering brick that are one metre high, along with a stone plaque located near the top on the east side. This chimney is part of the ruins of the former Fussell ironworks on this site, representing one of the few remaining pieces of evidence of this once significant local industry.
