The Lodge to The Chantry, built around 1826 by John Pinch for James Fussell, is a classical-style building. It features Doulting ashlar and cement render, with corner pilasters and additional pilasters between the bays. The structure has a hipped slate roof with wide eaves and a central ashlar stack. It is two stories tall and has a symmetrical facade with three bays, where the center bay projects slightly forward. The ground floor includes casements set in segmental headed recesses, while the upper floor has blank openings. The central door opening is also segmental headed and contains a half-glazed door. The building has returns of one bay and a small hipped roof block at the rear.
