Description
Frog Cottage consists of two cottages dating from the 17th century, with some alterations made in the 20th century. The exterior is rendered and colourwashed, with No 30 featuring a double Roman tile roof and No 32 having a thatched roof. There are two brick stacks along the ridge. The cottages are two storeys high and have a symmetrical layout with one bay for No 30 and two bays for No 32. A notable feature is the two-storey canted bay under a front-facing gable, which includes a five-light wooden mullioned window on the ground floor and a five-light iron casement window on the first floor, both with leaded lights. There is a small pantile pent roof over the first-floor window. Additional windows include two, three, and four-light wooden mullioned windows, with a three-light opening on the first floor of the first bay and a four-light opening on the first floor of the fourth bay, both dating from the 17th century, while the rest are from the 20th century. There are also two small single-light windows. The paired door openings on the right feature plank doors, with the door to No 32 having a flat hood supported by a wrought-iron bracket. The cottages likely contain remnants of a cross passage house.
