Description
This is a 19th-century water hydrant located approximately 25 metres north-east of Number 2 on St Andrew Street in Wells. It is made of cast iron and was produced by J Stone and Co. from Deptford, London. The hydrant features a fluted circular column that rests on a moulded base, with a moulded top. Hose connections are present on the top and on the west side of the hydrant.
