Description

End Cottage is likely 18th century, although it was modified in the 20th century. It is a detached cottage built of ham stone rubble with a thatched roof between stepped coped gables, and brick end chimney stacks. The cottage is single-storey with an attic, and has two bays. It features a small-pane casement window of two lights; the upper pair are set into swept thatched dormers, and the lower window is under labels filled with voussoired flat arches. The original listing described sash windows below. To the right of the second bay is a 20th-century door set into an elliptical arched frame in recess. The interior has not been inspected. The cottage is included on the list primarily for its group value, as it faces the entrance drive to the Old Rectory and the Church of St George.
