Description

The gazebo, located adjacent to the west return of Shovel House, dates from the early 19th century. It is constructed of roughcast with a conical tile roof topped by a ball finial and features a brick stack. Designed in the cottage ornee style, the gazebo is circular in plan and has wide eaves that create a verandah all around, supported by rustic poles. It includes sash windows with glazing bars and a half-glazed door. This structure is included in the listing primarily for its group value.
