Description

A detached farmhouse dating to the 17th century, situated in Lovington. The building is constructed of local grey lias stone, with squared stone, Doulting stone dressings, and a Welsh slate roof over stone slate base courses. The gables are coped, and the chimney stacks are ashlar with moulded caps. The design is L-shaped, with a three-bay east-facing elevation. It is a two-storey building with an attic. The windows are ovolo-mould mullioned, with labels; the upper windows are two-light, while the lower windows in bays one and three are four-light, and the lower window in bay three is three-light. A boarded door is set within a heavy frame, sheltered by a flat timber hood supported on shaped brackets. A return wing extends to the rear, matching the style and partly three storeys high. A lean-to is attached to the west side. The interior has not been inspected.
