Description
The Spring and Horse Trough, located about 65 metres west of the Church of St Andrew, is likely from the 19th century. It is constructed from local stone coursed rubble with ashlar. The spring emerges from a plain pointed arched recess in the rubble wall, flowing onto a stone shelf from a galvanised pipe. The trough itself is formed by ashlar slabs positioned on edge, measuring approximately 800mm by 3 metres overall, with a standing stone set in the middle. This structure contributes significantly to the street scene.
