Description

The churchyard wall to the Church of St Andrew is located along the south side of St Andrew Street in Hertford. Built around 1900, the wall measures 33 meters along the street frontage of the north churchyard. It is constructed of flint with a chamfered stone coping and features a stone offset to the plinth. There are piers at both ends and flanking a gateway that is situated 10 meters from the west. These piers are made of flint with stone quoins and stone caps that have an offset. The gateway once had a gate and a former iron arch, which has since been removed. This wall contributes to the overall setting of St Andrew's Church.
