Description
Gould's Farmhouse is a farmhouse with origins dating back to the 17th century, which was modified in the 18th and 19th centuries. It is constructed from local stone rubble that is cut and squared on the south face, featuring ashlar dressing. The roof is made of plain clay tiles with bands of fish scale tiles and has plain gables, along with brick end chimney stacks. The building has an 'L' plan and is two storeys high with a three-bay south elevation. It features 16-pane sash windows set in plain ashlar surrounds. There is a plain boarded door located in the second bay, which is topped by a fanlight and a flat stone hood supported by console brackets. On the east elevation, there are three 3-light reserve chamfered mullioned windows with leaded lights, and above them are 3-light casements with leaded panes under exposed timber lintels. Additional leaded casement windows can be found on the west elevation. The interior has not been seen.
