Description
Bay House and Mayford are a pair of semi-detached cottages dating from the 18th century. They are rendered over rubble with a slate roof, which has a lower ridge on the Mayford side. The cottages feature brick stacks at the gable ends and in the center. They are designed in a double pile format and stand two stories tall with an attic, displaying a two-to-one bay arrangement.
The cottages have 16-pane sash windows, with the entrance to Mayford located between the first and second bays on the right. The entrance to Bay House is on the left return, featuring a semicircular healed opening with a fanlight and a part-glazed floor. There is also a semicircular headed attic casement, along with a many-paned casement and a 20th-century window on the first floor.
