Description

Newton Farmhouse is a late 17th and early 18th century farmhouse located in West Pennard village. The farmhouse is constructed of coursed and squared rubble with a double Roman tile roof, featuring coped verges and three brick stacks. It follows a cross-passage plan. The two-storey, four-bay structure has 2-, 3- and 4-light stone mullioned windows, with the ground floor windows being taller than those on the first floor. A 6-panelled door, with the top two panels glazed, is situated in the third bay, and is sheltered by a slab hood resting on moulded brackets.
