Description
Cumberland House is a 17th-century house located in West Pennard Village. It is constructed from coursed rubble with coped verges and features a slate roof, along with end brick stacks set on rubble bases. The building is two storeys tall and has three bays, which include three and four-light ovolo-moulded stone-mullioned windows that are set beneath stopped labels. The left bay has 20th-century reconstituted stone-mullioned windows. There are paired central door openings with dressed stone jambs; the left door opening is blocked and has a 2-light leaded casement inserted, while the right opening features a 4-panelled door with a wooden lintel. To the right of the main frontage, there is a 20th-century glazed lean-to that is not of special interest.
