Description

The wall enclosing the garden of Old Ham Manor is a Grade II listed structure that appears to date from the 17th century. It is constructed of random rubble and surrounds the garden of the Old Manor. The wall runs for 30 metres along Upper Ham Lane from its junction with Ham Lane and for 45 metres along Darshill. It features three doorways with stone architraves; two of these have 4-centred heads while one has a square head. All doorways have wide chamfers and likely date from the 16th century. Additionally, there is a mounting block that is integral to the wall on the south side, which includes five slabbed steps.
