Description

Ham Manor is a house dating to around 1600, which was restored around 1920. It is constructed of rubble with a pantile roof, coped gables with kneelers, and rendered stacks. The rectangular building is planned around a central fireplace backing onto a lobby entrance. It is two storeys high with three bays. A stone doorcase with chamfers and stops is covered by a 20th-century portico supported by square pillars, leading to a studded door. The windows are 3-light ovolo-moulded mullion windows, two of which are 18th-century sash windows. Original 18th-century panelling is found in the rooms to the left and right of the entrance lobby. A wing, originally an old cottage and connected to the main block by a 20th-century dairy, is set at right angles to the facade. The house forms a group with Cleevers.
