Description

The Goodman Chest Tomb, located in the churchyard 1.5 metres north of the north porch of the Church of Saint Michael, is a chest tomb dating from the late 18th century. It is made of hall stone and features a moulded plinth that is almost buried. The ends of the tomb have fielded panels, while the flanks display recessed panels with fielded panel pilasters. The tomb is topped with a heavily moulded hipped top. It commemorates Benjamin Goodman, who died in 1772.
