Description
No. 59 High Street is a cottage that dates back to the 18th century and has undergone some modifications. It is constructed from local stone that has been cut and squared, with ashlar dressings. The roof is made of stone slate and features a plain gable on the west side, along with a brick chimney stack at one end. The building has two storeys and an attic, with three bays. The outer bays have 12-pane sash windows, which are adorned with keystoned lintels on the ground floor. In the center, there is a recessed doorway that features a 1930s door and a leaded fanlight above it. Above the doorway, there is a 4-pane casement window, and above that, a pitched roof dormer with a 2-light casement window. The interior has not been seen.
