7/20 Rose and Crown Hotel - - II

Inn. C16/C17, much rebuilding late C19. Roughcast, double-Roman tile roof, crested ridge, brick stacks. Two storeys, 5 bays, predominantly 3-light casements with glazing bars, except flat-roofed canted bay window to fourth bay, casements with glazing bars. Door opening to second bay, plank door, flat hood on wrought-iron brackets, reached by flight of C20 concrete steps. Single-storeyed lean-to. Inside a chamfered cross-beam ceiling; fireplace in a moulded surround, freestone jambs, wooden 4-centred arch bressumer.
