Description
This is a 17th-century chest tomb located about 10 metres south-southeast of the porch of the Church of St Michael in Somerton. It is made of Ham stone, with the base buried and featuring plain sides and flanks. The tomb has angled coving leading to a hipped top. Some letters in an early style can be seen on the north flank, but the inscription is unreadable, and the date may also be buried.
