Description

This is an unidentified chest tomb located about 8 metres south-southeast of the porch of the Church of St Michael. It is probably from the 17th century and made of Ham stone. The base is buried, and it features plain pilasters on the ends of the flanks, with one recess at each end and two on each flank, all having semi-circular arched toothed heads. The heavy slab has a cyma recta mould coving and a slightly hipped top. The inscription is unreadable, but there is a date on the north side that could be 1677.
