Description
This barn, located about 300 metres north-west of Cushuish Farmhouse, dates from the 18th century. It is constructed of red sandstone random rubble, which is partially rendered. The barn features a double span roof that is hipped with tiles on the north side and has a weather boarded gable with a corrugated iron roof on the south side. It stands two storeys high and consists of six bays. On the north side, there is a wall, while the south side has two rows of large, square piers that are partially rendered. The south-east end bay has a low wall, but the rest of the structure is open. Inside, there is a collar purlin roof. This barn is an impressive and unusual structure.
