Description

This building is a combined stable, granary, and cartshed located adjacent to Batch Farm House, dating from around 1800. It is constructed from Doulting rubble with dressed stone quoins, featuring coped verges with finials and a slate roof. The structure has a rectangular plan with a projecting wing at the center of the facade. It is two stories tall with irregular openings. On the left side, there are two broad segmental-headed archways, and there is a doorway in the projecting wing. To the right, there is a lower doorway flanked by window openings that still show remnants of early 19th-century casements, with identical windows above. This building is a notable example of a high-quality farm range.
