Description
Batch Farm House is a farmhouse built around 1800 for the Ashwick Grove Estate. It features a rendered exterior and a slate roof with rendered stacks and coped verges. The building has a "T"-shaped plan and a symmetrical facade, standing two stories tall with three bays. The sash windows have glazing bars and are set within plain stone architraves. A central gabled porch includes a doorway with a semi-circular arch head, highlighted by an emphasized keystone and imposts, leading to a plank door. Above the porch, there is a carved gryphon on a tablet. At the rear, there is a wing at right angles that contains a reused two-light ovolo moulded stone mullioned window.
