Description
The granary, barn, and cowshed, located 10 meters west of Douse Croft Farmhouse, is a single range building dating from the late 18th century, with alterations made in the mid-20th century. It is constructed from coursed squared stone with ashlar dressings, topped with stone slate and corrugated asbestos roofs. The building has two storeys.
The central section features a segment-headed opening with double plank barn doors. To the right, there are two stable doors with stone surrounds, along with a buttress beyond them. On the left side, the ground floor openings are covered by a mid-20th century lean-to shed. The granary section on the left has external stone steps leading to a first-floor plank door, and to its right, there is a reglazed two-light casement window. The interior has not been inspected.
