Description
Swallow Farmhouse is a farmhouse that has been converted into a house. It dates from the late 18th century, with additions and alterations made in the mid-19th century and late 20th century. The building is constructed of coursed squared stone, with one gable rendered, and features a slate roof with two coped stone gable stacks. The farmhouse has quoins and coped gables, and it is two storeys high with a three-window range. The windows are 19th-century casements, including a central four-pane casement flanked by two larger three-light casements. The central entrance is a half-glazed door with a triangular stone lintel, also flanked by two three-light casements. The rendered right gable has a two-light casement, while to the right, there is a single-storey addition with a gable stack and a 20th-century three-light casement. To the left, there is a larger, set-back single-storey addition with a gable stack and a central half-glazed door. The rear of the farmhouse features a two-light chamfered mullioned window on each floor, with the upper window having the mullion removed. The interior has not been inspected.
