Description
Carr Houses is a group of four houses, now reduced to three, built around 1700 and 1780. They are constructed from coursed squared stone with ashlar dressings and feature stone slate roofs, which have coped stone gables and ridge stacks, along with two brick ridge stacks. The buildings have quoins and are two storeys high with a four-window range. The house on the left has a coped gable with kneelers and contains two 2-light glazing bar casements, with the left one being renewed. Below these windows, there are two doors with stone lintels, the lower left door being recessed. On either side of this house, there is a 2-light glazing bar casement. The pair of houses to the right has two 3-light glazing bar casements on each floor, with the lower ones flanked by single doors that also have stone lintels. The interior has not been inspected.
