Description
House known as Chapel House, located at 8 Whiteley Lane, dates from the mid-18th century and underwent alterations in the early 19th century, with further changes to its windows in the early 20th century. The building is constructed of coursed squared stone and features an artificial stone slate roof with two coped stone gable stacks. It has quoins and coped gables, and is two storeys high with a three-window range in an L-plan layout. The central window is a two-light casement, flanked by single three-light casements. There is an early 19th-century wooden lattice porch that has a 20th-century glazed lean-to roof and a 20th-century panelled door. On either side of the porch, there are additional three-light casements. The interior has not been inspected.
