Description
No. 76 on North Street is an 18th-century house constructed from limestone rubble, topped with a double Roman pantile roof and featuring a brick stack at the right gable end. The building has a two-unit plan and a late 19th-century rear outshut. It stands two storeys high and has a symmetrical three-window arrangement. Timber lintels are present over all openings. The front door, which dates from the 20th century, is located beneath a shallow hood, and there are two-light casement windows flanked by three-light casements. The first-floor windows have two panes in each leaf and are likely from the 20th century as well. The interior has not been inspected. This house is part of a row that includes Nos. 70-74.
