Description
George's Farmhouse is a farmhouse that dates back to the 18th century, with possible earlier origins, and was restored in the late 20th century. It features squared and coursed blue lias stone on a random rubble plinth, topped with a thatched roof that is hipped to the left. There is a lean-to thatched roof over a single-storey addition with a brick stack, as well as additional brick stacks to the left of the cross passage and at the right gable end. The building likely has a three-cell layout with a cross passage and an addition on the left. It stands two storeys high with a two-to-one bay arrangement. The first floor has two-light casement windows, while the ground floor features three and four-light casements. There is a depressed Tudor arch shoulder doorcase, which may have been reset, leading to an early studded plank door. Iron cross ties are present on the left side, and iron bands are located on the right. Before its restoration, the farmhouse was divided into two cottages.
